About Us
Who We Are
Electricity Asset Services (EAS) has been proudly operating for 8 years, growing from just one man and a van into a team of over 180 dedicated professionals across three office loactions in Lochgelly, Larbert and Airdrie.
In that time, we’ve achieved countless milestones and established a respected presence within the electrical utilities sector, all driven by a commitment to doing things the right way and in full alignment with industry standards and regulations.
At the heart of our success is a strong belief in developing young talent. Through close partnerships with organisations like Heriot-Watt University and Developing the Young Workforce (DYW Fife), we’ve helped shape the careers of the next generation, from apprentices and graduate trainees to supervisors and project managers. Many of those who began their journey with us are now leading teams, managing complex projects, and playing a key role in the future of the industry.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Beyond our industry work, we’re also committed to giving back. Over the past 8 years, we’ve raised more than £100,000 for charitable causes and contributed over £100,000 to support young athletes and sportspeople, including our own sponsored talent, helping them pursue their ambitions and reach their full potential.

The Story So Far

2017
The beginning of EAS
In 2017, our founder, Stewart Herron, grew the business from a one-man operation into a team of eight based in a small office in Dunfermline’s Elgin Industrial Estate. Among the original team, some may recognise Stewart and our Operations Manager, John Martin, both of whom remain key figures in the business today.

2018
We bought our first van
In 2018, we bought our first EAS van (and bike) to start the fleet. Now, we have over 80 vehicles in the business including HIABs, cars and vans.

2019
We moved into our Lochgelly Headquarters
As our team grew and our fleet expanded, it became clear we needed more space. Stewart soon found the perfect location in Lochgelly, and we’ve never looked back. Today, we’re proud to operate from a modern two-storey office, two well-equipped warehouses, and a spacious outdoor yard.

2020
The Global Pandemic Brought Opportunity
Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, our business tripled in size in 2020. With reduced pedestrian traffic on Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline High Streets, we gained access to areas that were previously difficult to reach, allowing us to take on significant new projects and continue our growth.

2021
Growth continued with SP Energy Networks
The business expanded even further in 2021 as we doubled in size once again. This year saw us take on major asset replacement projects, including secondary substation and low-voltage link box replacements for SP Energy Networks.

2022
EAS Move into the World of Delooping
In 2022, our partnership with SP Energy Networks expanded when we were awarded the Delooping Framework. This framework enabled us to deliver delooping works across Scotland, enhancing network resilience while reinforcing our position as a key contractor in the energy infrastructure sector.

2023
Our Partnership with Last Mile Begins
Work under the Delooping Framework began, delivering key infrastructure improvements across Scotland. In the latter part of the year, we were also awarded a contract with Last Mile, broadening our project portfolio and reinforcing our reputation for excellence in energy network services.

2024
We Partnered with SSEN
Following a record-breaking year of expansion, we secured another significant achievement in late 2024 as we were awarded a place on the SSEN Framework.
