Project: South Queensferry

Project Overview

The Challenge

Our South Queensferry project remains an active site, with full project details to be shared upon completion.

The works are taking place in a busy and densely populated area, requiring careful planning and coordination to ensure the safety of both our teams and the public, while keeping disruption to a minimum.

The project area presents unique challenges due to its proximity to schools, a busy train station, shops, restaurants, and popular tourist attractions — all contributing to high levels of traffic and footfall. Maintaining access and ensuring clear communication with residents and local businesses has been a key focus throughout delivery.

Once complete, the project will have delivered:

  • 2,812 metres of mains cable

  • 3,080 metres of service cable

  • 57 main joints

  • 353 service joints

This work will provide 219 customers with new three-phase electricity supplies, improving the local network’s capacity and reliability for years to come.

Again, the project is still ongoing so please check back with us for a full project breakdown and completion summary.
