EAS Raises £20,000 for Cash for Kids Following Month of Charity Challenges

15 July 2026

Electricity Asset Services has raised £20,000 for Cash for Kids following a full month of charity challenges throughout June.

Employees from across the business signed up for a series of events that took them well outside their usual working day. For many, it also meant overcoming personal fears to complete challenges they may never otherwise have considered.

By the end of the month, the team had completed seven events in support of Cash for Kids.

Seven Challenges Completed

The fundraising began with the RSS Discovery Mast Climb in Dundee, followed by white water rafting and the Auld Toun 10K in Dunfermline.

Ten EAS employees took part in the 10K, which the business was also proud to sponsor. The event brought runners, volunteers and local organisations together for a full day of activities in the city.

The team then travelled to Killiecrankie for the Bridge Swing before returning to take on a bungee jump. The final week included a skydive and a canyoning experience through the gorges and rivers around Pitlochry.

Supporting Families in Our Local Communities

Cash for Kids supports children and families affected by poverty, illness or additional support needs.

Throughout the month, EAS shared examples of the charity’s work locally. This has included funding specialist beds and mobility equipment, as well as supporting holiday hunger programmes that provide food and activities for children during the school holidays.

The money raised by EAS will help fund a bespoke bed for a local child, which will make a significant difference to the child and their family.

Part of the total will also be used to provide a climbing frame for another local child who currently has very limited opportunity to spend time outside safely.

Reaching the £20,000 Total

Ahead of the final week, the fundraising total had already passed £17,000. Further donations helped take the final amount to £20,000 by the end of the campaign.

Everyone who completed a challenge was invited to a meal at Incontri in Dunfermline, where the team came together to celebrate the result and look back on the month.

We are extremely proud of everyone who took part, particularly those who overcame personal fears to complete their chosen event.

A massive thank you must also go to everyone who donated or supported the team along the way. The generosity shown throughout the month helped us reach a total that will make a real difference to children and families in our local communities.

This will not be the last of our charity fundraising, and we look forward to continuing our support for Cash for Kids.
